Rugby 15s: From Grassroots to National Pride
Rugby 15s is the foundation of the game in Jamaica. From schools and community programmes, players are developed physically, mentally, and socially — learning discipline, respect, and teamwork from their first touch of the ball to national representation.
At the senior level, Jamaica’s men’s and women’s teams compete within Rugby Americas North, growing steadily in strength and reputation. The UK Jamaica Rugby Pathway has deepened the programme further, blending local and international talent into a truly global Jamaican team.
Off the field, 15s rugby drives real change. Through #RugbyAgainstViolence, the sport provides structure and opportunity for at-risk youth — using the game to redirect lives and build stronger communities.

Rugby 7s showcases Jamaica’s speed, energy, and athleticism on the international stage. From junior development to senior competition, it provides a platform for players to display skill, creativity, and flair.
Jamaica’s teams have achieved major success, including winning the RAN Sevens Championship and qualifying for events like the Rugby World Cup Sevens and the Commonwealth Games. The women’s programme continues to rise alongside the men, supported by the UK Jamaica Rugby Pathway and a blend of local and diaspora talent.
